Arctic Cat - I my have a lemon
NO contact from Arctic cat, I feel that all they want is our money but no support when you have real problem, Arctic cat will not stand behind there products. We spend a lot of money on these toys and they should last a lot longer than they advertise.
This machine has done nothing but cost me money.
I thought about selling it but I would feel bad that someone else would get this lemon Arctic cat wildcat x limited. I would hope I would get a response from Arctic cat, but nothing.
Where do I start, there is a assembly for the starter which consist a few gears, and what happened was that the #2 gears shattered the inside case so, stuck on the trail no way to start the machine. I feel there is a defective case it should have never broke like that.
I asked Arctic Cat for help with some of the parts I asked if I could get them at cost, my request was denied. The next problem I had was 1st day on the trail right bottom ball joint broke off so had to replace the ball joint on the trail, the next day same thing the left bottom ball joint broke off and luckily I had another spare. The rear end blew out, it cost me 850 dollars to replace that, due to under designed rear end, busted a rear axle that was also not cheap. Bent both of the steering arms due to cheap aluminum rods, had to rebuild the water pump.
I am not sure if I fix these problem will it happen again. I am not very happy with my 2014 arctic cat wildcat x limited, I maybe in the market for a new machine. I am very DISAPPOINTED from the response I received from arctic cat.
I am just a poor man trying to have fun in my old age. All of this had taken place in a 2 month period.
Reason of review: Bad quality.
Monetary Loss: $1800.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
Arctic Cat Cons: I feel they do not care about the consumer.

Not a very reliable machine.
Check the message blogs. I bought an old one a few months ago, had no issues, changed the gas, oil, and plug after it had sat up a while.
I go to crank it one day, and I hear a grind. Not your typical starter" whine" my husband popped the case open and found the idler pin in pieces with chunks taken out of inside of the case. Well, I guess it's garbage now.
I pd $450 for a 14yr old 4 wheeler that ran great and the case costs $1169 to replace it. There's no doubt artic cat knows about this problem and won't do a thing about their non hardened aluminum cases, because that is a moneymaker for them.
Sorry to hear that Shelley about your machine, they know they have a problem but are very greedy and do not care about the customer. Instead I bought a used 2014 engine that had different problems, but I pulled my engine apart and put the case from the other motor.
It was a lot of money and labor to do all this. But she is running again, hopefully for a while longer.
